In April, Ontario put out a request for public input in building a Food Security Strategy for Ontario. In response, OHEA formed a committee to provide feedback. A special thank you is extended to committee members who volunteered their time and expertise on behalf of the organization - Cailin Whincop, P.H.Ec. & Co-Chair, Marie Traynor, P.H.Ec. & Co-Chair, Peggy O'Neil, P.H.Ec., & Joan Ttooulias, P.H.Ec. The committee also collected feedback via email from other PHEc's and ensured all voices of OHEA were heard. Feedback was submitted on May 31st, and we are waiting to hear back from the Ontario Government this summer about the collective feedback they received. Bravo to this OHEA Committee. Great submission on Food Security in Ontario. A real concern - often over-looked. Home Economists care about families and individuals and work to help both. www.ohea.on.ca
