JOIN OHEA
Why join the OHEA?

Being an OHEA member offers you many benefits:
Advocacy: A Code of Ethics guides work by OHEA to assist families and individuals to maintain a desirable quality of life. Partnership in the Ontario Chapter of the Coalition for Healthy School Food typifies OHEA advocacy.  OHEA is also working closely with other groups to promote Bill 216 – Food Literacy for Students Act.

Professional Community: Through local branch meetings, a newsletter, an annual conference (or most recently online Speaker Series), an up-to-date website and online social network, OHEA members have continual contact, excellent resources and a welcomed voice.

News Digest: A monthly newsletter highlighting OHEA news, events and accomplishments within the Home Economics/Human Ecology profession.

Career Advancement: Links to career opportunities and advice.  Also, membership to OHEA gives you the PHEc designation.  This designation is a visible confirmation of your qualifications and integrity.

Knowledge Leadership: Opportunities to get involved and engage in committees that shape the future of Home Economics/Human Ecology.

See below for expanded description of benefits.
