There are many reasons why Michele is so deserving of this award. She has worked tirelessly on many OHEA initiatives over the years and promotes the association as if it were her own business. She is truly passionate about getting our name out in the community and will always take the time to talk to others about all of the great work that we do.
At our conference last year in Burlington, Michele stepped in for Mairlyn Smith, P.H.Ec., as Master of Ceremonies at the 11th hour and did a wonderful job. She is an accomplished spokesperson for OHEA and brings energy, laughter and passion to everything she does.
Her dedication to the association is outstanding and her volunteer contributions are always above and beyond. The amount of time she puts into OHEA, as well as her professionalism, loyalty and devotion make her an exceptional leader and mentor for the association and our members.
Not a day goes by that Michele is not thinking about OHEA or working on an OHEA project. On any given day she could be chairing a Board meeting, providing her expertise at an Executive meeting, running around Toronto promoting Homegrown, taping media segments while we are still snuggled in our beds, approving newsletters and press releases, hosting conference calls, providing mentorship, meeting with government officials, like-minded groups, lawyers, publishers, members, students, you name it. OHEA would not be the association it is today without Michele.
Please join us in congratulating the very deserving recipient of the 2017 President’s Distinguished Service Award - Michele McAdoo, P.H.Ec.
