more confident in their daily health choices. Recently she launched Growing Up Healthy Seed to Fork Kits, offering an affordable food literacy activity for all ages and stages. Her kits connect growing food at home - with cooking with fresh ingredients - while encouraging healthy eating.
She recently had the honour of being a finalist for the 2017 Mompreneur StartUp Award, which is awarded to a female entrepreneur based on innovation, leadership, growth and scalability. She is a very active member of OHEA, sitting on the Board of Directors and Executive in the co-chaired position of VP of Membership. She never stops thinking about OHEA student engagement. She is on the front lines sharing our message, talking about our amazing organization and profession, and getting students involved and excited. She is also a social media powerhouse for all things OHEA and Home Economics and was recently accepted into the Master of Public Health program at the University of Waterloo. She is creative, dedicated, passionate and filled with endless energy and positivity. It is was our honour to present the 2017 OHEA Founder’s Honour Award to Sandra Venneri, P.H.Ec. Congratulations Sandra!
