OHEA is thrilled to congratulate OHEA member Erin MacGregor and her business partner, Dara Gurau, as they have been placed on the shortlist for Taste Canada Awards. In its 21st year, Taste Canada Awards has announced a shortlist of cookbooks and food blogs competing for a culinary writing award. 91 cookbooks and 50 food blogs are entered in the competition! Their blog, How to Eat, is competing for the Food Blogs: Health and Special Diet award. The Taste for Canada site says: “The award is given to the best blog written by a Canadian writer(s), which features a topic related to health and/or special diets and includes recipes dedicated to health and/or special diet topics. This category may include blogs addressing a specific health issue through food, a specific nutrition concept or overall nutrition focus, a cooking method/style to address a health issue and/or target a specific special diet related to a health issue and/or lifestyle. This category may also include professionals’ personal blogs (i.e. nutritionists and dietitians).” The jury is comprised of volunteers from Canada’s culinary profession and are appointed by an independent selection committee. The 26 gold and silver award winners will be announced at the Taste Canada Awards Gala on October 29 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto. OHEA is wishing you all the best and we look forward to hearing the news in October! About How To Eat
