Rachelle graduated with a Bachelor of Science with an Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics in June 2018 from Brescia University College. Currently, she is completing a Diploma in Public Relations from Western University at Western Continuing Studies. Throughout her undergraduate degree, she was involved in multiple student leader positions. In March 2018, at the OHEA Annual General Meeting Rachelle was elected to the Board of Directors as the Vice President Communications.

I completed my Bachelor's of Applied Science in Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph in 2015. After that, I worked a handful of different jobs before ending up working in the Product Development department at McCormick Canada as a Culinary Technologist. I also started working as a nutrition coach at Degree CrossFit Seaforth during that time. I then completed my dietetic internship through London Health Sciences Centre in August 2018. Brittaney Berendsen RD, PHEc, began her professional education at Brescia University College at Western University in London Ontario where she graduated with a BSc in Nutrition. She then went on to complete a Dietetic Internship at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener Ontario. After earning her RD Designation, Brittaney is now working as an Administrative Dietitian in the Nutrition Services Department at the University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto Ontario.
Having worked in Healthcare Foodservice for five years prior to beginning her role as an Administrative RD, Brittaney has always enjoyed the organizational aspects of Nutrition Services and is dedicated to improving food in healthcare. Brittaney is also a self-proclaimed foodie and amateur food stylist. She loves to express her creativity in the kitchen through recipe development and is extremely passionate about cooking delicious food that nourishes. Cailin holds a human ecology degree in nutrition, family studies, and psychology from Brescia University College. She is passionate about building healthy communities and an equitable society. With a post-degree diploma in Not-for-Profit Management, she believes in the strength of the nonprofit sector and building cross-sector relationships for positive social change. Cailin is currently the Stewardship Coordinator at Girls Inc. of Durham. She provides fund development and administrative support in delivering research-based programming to address the unique challenges girls face and help them reach their full potential. In her spare time, Cailin loves to get creative in the kitchen! Erin MacGregor is a Professional Home Economist and Dietitian who combines her credentials to chase the work she loves. As a dietitian, she works in a clinical setting at an acute care teaching hospital. She combines her RD and PHEc credentials as the co-owner of How to Eat, a food and nutrition communications business that aims to help families cook more at home and raise a generation of happy, healthy eaters. Through her work in media as a blogger and as an ambassador for the Canola Eat Well for Life team, Erin has become an advocate for honest and transparent communication about our food system. She hopes to take the fear out of food and inspire Canadians to have a healthful and happy relationship with it. Erin has been an OHEA member and 2-time volunteer on the Board of Directors, since 2007. In 2017 she joined the OHEA mentorship program to help foster a new generation of PHEcs. Erin lives and eats in Toronto with her husband, 2 year old daughter and 9 year old fur baby. Pooja Mansukhani is the Registered Dietitian and Food Safety Officer in Food Services at the University of Toronto. She has been working as a Registered Dietitian in university and college foodservices for 3.5 years. Pooja earned her nutrition degree from Ryerson University where she currently teaches a Food Service Management course, and also holds a degree in Honours Applied Economics, Co-op from the University of Waterloo.
Pooja enjoys being active and teaches spin classes in her spare time. She sits on the board of the Ontario Home Economists Association and was formerly the Co-Chair of the Ontario Home Economists in Business. She volunteers with the Sport Nutrition Network of Dietitians of Canada and in various capacities with undergraduate and graduate Nutrition programs in Ontario. Pooja has her own private practice and is a consultant for a food startup company. She received a Member Recognition Award in the category of Innovation from Dietitians of Canada in 2016, and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Sport Nutrition through the International Olympic Committee. Pooja has a passion for local food and sustainability and biked her way through her backyard of southern Ontario for ten days in 2014, visiting and working on farms as part of Otesha’s ‘Pedal to Plate’ bike tour. She enjoys cooking but is a minimalist in the kitchen and is always on the lookout for quick, easy, and nutritious recipes- her current breakfast go-to is a mix of coconut and almond milk, protein powder, chia seeds, nuts and fruits that she prepares the night before. Andrea has shared her love for food starting at a very young age where she would often enter baking competitions in her hometown of Brighton, Ontario and she has not slowed down since. Andrea attended the University of Guelph where she graduated with a degree in Applied Human Nutrition and later attended Liaison College to obtain a diploma in Culinary Arts. Andrea learned more about becoming a Professional Home Economist as she worked with Ontario Pork as their Nutritionist in Consumer Marketing and Communications. From working at Ontario Pork, Andrea moved on to create her own company, Lime and Lemon Media. Lime & Lemon Media is based out of the GTA and focuses on creating original marketing content for food and beverage companies. This includes recipe development, food photography, nutrition analysis, videos and event representation.
Nazima Qureshi is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Muslimah Nutrition Expert dedicated to helping Muslim women live healthier and happier lives. She provides services exclusively for Muslim women in order to create a haven where they can feel comfortable and confident as she goes on this journey with them to a healthier lifestyle. Her philosophy is to live a healthy lifestyle that includes enjoying all foods as well as enjoying being physically active. She uses a non-diet approach, which always includes dessert! She received her Bachelors of Applied Science in Nutrition and Food from Ryerson University and her Masters of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Toronto. She also completed her Physical Activity: Assessment and Promotion Certificate from Ryerson University. Nazima loves developing new recipes with her own South Asian flair, enjoying the outdoors with her husband and daughter, and using baking as a form of self-care therapy. Jason graduated UWO/Brescia University College in 2014 with a double major in History and Family Studies. He oversees the production of small batch preserves for a social enterprise working with youth in Strathroy Ontario. He also teaches adult cooking classes for both the City of London and the YMCA. In addition to this he is also the Vice President of social media for the OHEA, as well as a food and travel blogger. Highlights of his blogging career include being the Canadian Beef Blogger Ambassador. |
